Insurance Options

Employees working at 0.75 FTE or more are eligible for both of our health insurance options.  Our health insurance plans are offered through SSM Health.  Premiums are dependent on plan type and plan option.

Both plan options allow: Employee only, employee & spouse/dependent, employee & child(ren), or family.

HMO Traditional Copay Plan

  • You pay your monthly premium + any copay amounts
  • 90% of the monthly premium is covered by HPCS
  • Medical and dependent care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) available

HMO High Deductible Payment Plan

  • You pay your monthly premium + all provider charges in full, up to the deductible
  • 95% of the monthly premium is covered by HPCS
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and dependent care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) available
Both health plans offer some fertility treatment coverage, with a lifetime maximum.

Health Saving Account (HSA)

If you are enrolled in the high deductible payment plan, you have the option to take advantage of an HSA.  What is an HSA?  An HSA is an opportunity to set aside money from each paycheck to be used to pay for qualifying medical expenses.  Money put into your HSA is tax-free!  This means paying expenses with before-tax dollars will give you a reduction in Federal, State, and Social Security taxes on those dollars, thus increasing your net take-home pay.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

If you are enrolled in traditional co-pay plan, you have the option to take advantage of an FSA.  What is an FSA?  Similar to an HSA, an FSA is an opportunity to set aside money from each paycheck to be used to pay for qualifying medical expenses.  Money put into your FSA is tax-free!  This means paying expenses with before-tax dollars will give you a reduction in Federal, State, and Social Security taxes on those dollars, thus increasing your net take-home pay. FSA's are use it or lose it.

Employees working at 0.5  FTE or more are eligible for dental insurance.  Part-time employees working below 0.75 FTE pay the full premium each month, and full-time employees working at 0.75 FTE or greater pay a partial premium each month.  Our dental insurance plan is offered through Delta Dental.  Premiums are dependent on plan option.

Our plan options allow: Employee only, employee & spouse/dependent, employee & child(ren), or family.
